Jack Brooks Regional Airport

Jack Brooks Regional Airport is the primary general aviation option for the Beaumont-Port Arthur metro area, a region driven almost entirely by oil refining and petrochemical production. Charter traffic here tends to reflect that industry: executives and contractors moving between Houston, the Gulf Coast refineries, and corporate offices in the Golden Triangle. The airport has no slot requirements and no congestion to speak of, which means same-day and short-notice charters are straightforward to arrange.

The FBO facilities are adequate for a regional airport. Expect standard fuel, ramp services, and crew amenities without the luxury finishes you'd find at a large metro FBO. The airport does not hold U.S. Customs and Border Protection status, so international arrivals need to clear elsewhere before landing here.

Downtown Beaumont is about 15 miles northwest of the airport, a 20-minute drive under normal conditions. Port Arthur is roughly 25 miles southeast, around 30 minutes by car. Orange, TX is about 40 miles east on I-10. For Houston, plan on 85 miles and 90 minutes to George Bush Intercontinental or about 100 miles to Hobby. Rental cars are available at the airport. Car services serving the area operate out of Beaumont; confirm availability in advance as options are limited compared to larger markets.
