About Signature Flight Support
Signature Flight Support invested $15 million in an 8,000-square-foot executive terminal and 25,000-square-foot hangar at Nashville International Airport as part of a new 30-year lease with the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority. The terminal design leans into Nashville's identity as Music City: the reception area features decor reminiscent of whiskey barrel staves, and the sports area honors local professional teams including the Tennessee Titans and Nashville Predators. For charter passengers, the design creates a distinctive arrival experience that reflects the city's personality rather than the generic corporate feel of a standard FBO chain terminal. The facility provides 24/7 operations with 100,000 square feet of total hangar space, ground handling for all aircraft types, fueling, and de-icing. The location at 801 Hangar Lane puts passengers about 8 miles from downtown Nashville, with direct access to Music Row, the Gulch, and the business district along West End Avenue. Signature BNA handles both corporate traffic and frequent sports team charters, with the ramp and ground equipment capable of accommodating large aircraft. The FBO offers Signature's standard amenities including a passenger lounge, refreshments, Wi-Fi, and flight planning resources. Ground transportation can be arranged through the front desk, and rental cars are available. Nashville's growth as a destination for bachelorette weekends, music tourism, corporate events, and healthcare industry business has made it one of the busiest private aviation markets in the country. Having two competing FBOs on the field gives charter operators pricing flexibility and service options.
Amenities and services
Operations at Nashville International Airport
Downtown Nashville is 8 miles from the airport and takes 15 to 25 minutes by car, depending on time of day. Interstate 40 is the primary route, and traffic on the downtown connector can stack during evening hours. Rideshare pickup is at the commercial terminal, but FBO staff typically arrange car service directly to the ramp for private arrivals. Several car rental companies operate on-site. Franklin and Brentwood, the main southern suburbs, are 20 to 25 miles out and run about 30 minutes without traffic. Opryland and the Gaylord Opryland Resort are 5 miles north, roughly 10 minutes. Helicopter transfers are not a standard option from BNA given the short ground distances involved.
