About Atlantic Aviation

Atlantic Aviation operates on the West Ramp at Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport, the primary commercial and general aviation airport serving Alabama's largest city. The current facility at 4243 East Lake Boulevard offers heated hangars, ground handling, covered parking for passenger vehicles, concierge services including restaurant reservations and golf tee times, and crew and rental cars. Atlantic is currently in the early stages of a major redevelopment project that will transform the West Ramp operation. The new campus will include an approximately 7,500-square-foot executive FBO terminal with a spacious open-concept lobby, a cafe, multiple conference rooms, and a large crew lounge and flight planning area. Two new hangars of roughly 30,000 square feet each will feature 28-foot main doors capable of accommodating globally capable aircraft, and about seven acres of additional concrete ramp will provide hardstands for large group charter aircraft. The redevelopment is scheduled for completion in early 2027. For charter passengers today, the facility provides a professional and well-equipped arrival experience with direct access to Birmingham's business district, the University of Alabama at Birmingham medical center, and the Barber Motorsports complex. Downtown Birmingham is about 10 minutes from the airport, with quick access to the city's growing food scene and civil rights historical sites. Atlantic's concierge team can arrange everything from car service to event tickets. Once the new terminal opens, passengers will benefit from a significantly upgraded facility designed for the next generation of business aviation in the Birmingham market.
