Branson Airport

Branson Airport (KBBG) is the dedicated general aviation airport for the Branson area, sitting at roughly 1,300 feet elevation in the Ozark hills. It was originally built as a privately funded commercial airport and opened in 2009, which means the infrastructure is modern by regional standards. The main runway (12/30) runs 7,140 feet, long enough to handle most midsize and heavy cabin jets without restriction.

The airport is well-suited for charter operations into Branson's peak tourism seasons, which run heavily from May through October and again around the holidays. Plan ahead during summer weekends when ramp space can get tight. Springfield-Branson National Airport (SGF) is about 40 miles north and handles scheduled commercial traffic, so private arrivals into KBBG avoid the commercial terminal congestion entirely.

The Branson entertainment strip (Highway 76) is about 10 to 15 minutes by car from the airport. Table Rock Lake and Silver Dollar City are in the same range, roughly 10 to 15 miles depending on the specific destination. Downtown Branson is about 12 miles north. Car rentals are available at the airport. Rideshare coverage in Branson is inconsistent, so pre-arranging a car service or rental is the more reliable option, especially during peak season.
