Anderson Regional Airport

Anderson Regional is a county-owned general aviation airport with no scheduled commercial service. That means no congestion, no slot requirements, and straightforward ground handling. For passengers flying into the Upstate South Carolina corridor, it offers a quieter alternative to Greenville-Spartanburg International (GSP), which sits 35 miles to the northeast.

The airport sits at roughly 782 feet elevation and has instrument approaches, including ILS, so it handles operations in IMC conditions. FBO services are available on field. There are no international customs facilities, so all flights must be domestic or pre-cleared.

Anderson is 30 miles from downtown Greenville, a drive of about 35-40 minutes on I-85. Clemson University is roughly 25 miles west, around 25-30 minutes by car. Greenville is the closest city with a full hotel and restaurant selection. Car rental is available through the FBO, and regional car services operate out of the area. Charlotte Douglas International is about 90 miles northeast, roughly 90 minutes by car.
