Antwerp International Airport (Deurne)

Antwerp International Airport sits inside the city boundary, in the Deurne district, which makes it one of the closest European airports to a major city center. The taxi or car ride to Antwerp's diamond quarter or central station takes under 15 minutes. For passengers doing business at the Port of Antwerp, the port authority area is roughly 10 km by road.

The runway is 1,510 meters, which limits aircraft size. Light jets, midsize jets, and turboprops operate here without issue. Super-midsize and heavy jets are generally not suitable for this airport. Check with your operator if you are unsure whether your aircraft can use EBAW.

The airport operates under a noise curfew from 11pm to 6am. Slots are required for IFR traffic during peak periods. The airport is not congested by major hub standards, but it is not a 24-hour unrestricted facility. Plan arrivals and departures within the operating window.

Antwerp city center is 5 km from the terminal, roughly 10 to 15 minutes by car depending on traffic. The A12 and ring road give direct access to the port and surrounding industrial areas. Brussels is 45 km south via the E19 motorway, typically 40 to 50 minutes in normal traffic. Ghent is 60 km west, about 45 minutes. Amsterdam is 120 km north, around 90 minutes. Car rental is available at the airport. Pre-arranged private car service is standard for charter passengers.
