About Fast Air Abbotsford
Fast Air's Abbotsford FBO opened in spring 2024 at Abbotsford International Airport, offering a new executive aviation hub in the Fraser Valley as a cost-effective alternative to Vancouver International (YVR). The facility includes over 4,000 square feet of office, lounge, and lobby space with ultra-secure WiFi access, a premium guest lounge, a conference room, and modern pilot and passenger lounges. An exclusive boardroom is available for meetings. The FBO operates 24/7 with on-site Canada Customs and CANPASS processing for international arrivals, ramp-side vehicle access with valet service, and ground handling including fuel turns and hangar space. Fast Air can arrange shuttle and car rental services, catering, and hotel bookings. For charter passengers, Abbotsford provides a compelling alternative to the higher fees and congestion at YVR. The airport is about 70 kilometers east of Vancouver, roughly an hour's drive depending on traffic, but offers significantly lower landing fees and a less congested airspace environment. Abbotsford International has a 9,600-foot runway that can handle virtually any business jet type. The airport is also closer to destinations in the eastern Fraser Valley, Chilliwack, Harrison Hot Springs, and the US border (about 15 minutes to the Sumas crossing). For travelers headed to downtown Vancouver, the drive time is the main tradeoff. Fast Air delivers the same service standards at Abbotsford as at its Winnipeg flagship, with the concierge team handling all ground logistics.
