Montreal / Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport

CYUL is Montreal's main international airport and handles the bulk of private jet traffic into the city. Two established FBOs, Execaire and Skyservice, both operate at the airport with dedicated private terminals, ramp handling, and customs services. You will not share a terminal with commercial passengers.

The airport operates 24 hours and has no strict curfew, though noise abatement procedures apply between roughly 11pm and 7am on certain runways. Departure routing may be adjusted during those hours, but operations are not restricted. No slots are required for private aircraft.

Executive Fliteways and Chicago Jet Group are among the Part 135 operators active at CYUL, reflecting a healthy charter market connecting Montreal to US cities and other Canadian hubs. The airport is CBSA-designated, so international arrivals clear customs directly at the FBO rather than at a commercial terminal.

Downtown Montreal is 20 km east of the airport, roughly 25 minutes by car in normal traffic and 40 to 50 minutes during rush hour. The A-20 and A-720 autoroutes connect Dorval directly to the city centre. Car services and black car operators are available through both Execaire and Skyservice. Uber operates at CYUL. Old Montreal is approximately 30 minutes from the airport. For trips to the Laurentians or Mont-Tremblant (roughly 130 km north), ground transfer is the standard option as helicopter service is not routinely offered from the FBOs.
