South Lake Tahoe Airport (KTVL) in California serves the South Shore resorts. It handles light aircraft and some turboprops. The runway length (5,500 feet at 6,264 feet elevation) constrains jet operations. Most jet operators use KRNO for South Shore destinations and drive 60 minutes.
