About Signature Flight Support EIS
Signature Flight Support operates at Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport on Beef Island, which is connected to Tortola by a bridge and serves as the main airport for the British Virgin Islands. Signature acquired this location through its purchase of IAM Jet Centre's Caribbean holdings and now provides ground handling, Jet A fueling, and passenger services as part of its global network of over 200 FBO locations.
The facility includes a passenger lounge, concierge services, and coordination of ground transportation and onward travel arrangements. Customs and immigration clearance is handled at the FBO, and the staff are consistently praised for their friendliness, efficient concierge service, and clean facilities. Ground transportation connects passengers to Tortola's Road Town, where marinas, hotels, and ferry services provide access to the wider BVI archipelago.
The British Virgin Islands are the sailing capital of the Caribbean, and a significant portion of private jet traffic to Tortola consists of passengers connecting to yacht charters. The Moorings, Sunsail, and numerous luxury crewed yacht operations base their fleets in the BVI, and the sailing grounds among islands like Virgin Gorda, Jost Van Dyke, Peter Island, and Anegada are world-famous. The Baths on Virgin Gorda, with their massive granite boulders forming natural sea pools, are the region's most iconic attraction.
The airport's runway measures 4,645 feet, which limits operations to light and midsize jets. Larger aircraft typically route through Sint Maarten or San Juan and connect by smaller plane or ferry. Signature's global brand recognition and standardized service provide reliability for operators who frequent their network across multiple Caribbean destinations.
