About Bohlke International Aviation
Bohlke International Aviation at Henry E. Rohlsen Airport on St. Croix earned the Best Caribbean FBO title in the 2024 Pro Pilot PRASE Survey with an overall score of 9.65, rated by executives, aviation managers, and chief pilots across six categories including line team, customer service, facility, amenities, promptness, and value. The recognition reflects a family-owned operation that has been serving the U.S. Virgin Islands for decades.
The FBO features a modern passenger lounge, a cafe and gift store, and a pilot and crew suite with comfortable seating, television, shower facilities, and a separate flight planning room with workstations. A conference room seats eight with modern technology for business meetings. The kitchen area is fully stocked with coffee, refreshments, and appliances for quick meals. Fast customs pre-clearance gets passengers through formalities efficiently.
The infrastructure supports serious operations: a 10,000-foot runway, one of the longest in the Caribbean, handles heavy jets without restriction. A 20,000 square foot hangar provides aircraft storage and protection, with ample ramp space monitored by 24/7 surveillance. Fuel pricing is competitive, and the FBO accepts all major fuel cards.
Bohlke also operates one of the largest charter fleets in the Caribbean, giving the team deep operational knowledge that benefits ground handling. They understand the nuances of Caribbean flying, from customs procedures to weather routing to inter-island connections.
St. Croix is the largest of the U.S. Virgin Islands and offers a different character than St. Thomas, with more open space, historic plantation ruins, excellent diving at Buck Island, and the Cruzan Rum distillery. As a U.S. territory, no passport is required for mainland travelers. The concierge team arranges all ground transportation, hotel bookings, and island activity coordination.
