About PrimeSky Premium Private FBO
PrimeSky is the exclusive business aviation services provider at Los Cabos International Airport, operating since 2009 as the sole FBO on the field. The facility features a 54,000-square-foot hangar complex, the result of a $9 million investment designed to accommodate large business jets and provide both resident and transient aircraft storage.
As the only private aviation handler at MMSD, PrimeSky manages all business jet operations at the airport, including vehicle-to-plane ramp access, baggage handling, security arrangements, fueling, and customs and immigration processing. The exclusivity means there is no competition for ramp space or handling priority, but it also means PrimeSky sets the standard for every private jet arrival and departure at Los Cabos.
The terminal provides passenger lounges, crew facilities, and concierge services that arrange ground transportation to the resort areas. Los Cabos encompasses two main towns: Cabo San Lucas at the southern tip of the Baja Peninsula, known for nightlife and the iconic El Arco rock formation, and San Jose del Cabo, a quieter town with an art gallery district and historic downtown. The resort corridor connecting the two towns stretches along 20 miles of beachfront.
Los Cabos International Airport handles heavy commercial traffic as well, but PrimeSky's dedicated FBO area separates private aviation operations from the commercial terminals. The airport's runway can accommodate the largest business jets, and traffic from the US West Coast, Texas, and other major US markets keeps private aviation volume high year-round, with peaks around major holidays and events like the Cabo San Lucas Billfish Tournament.
For charter passengers, PrimeSky provides a straightforward arrival experience at one of Mexico's premier resort destinations. The ramp access model means your car meets you at the aircraft, and the Cabo resort area is within 20 to 40 minutes of the airport depending on your specific destination.

San José del Cabo town center is roughly 8 miles south of the airport, about 15 minutes by car. Cabo San Lucas is approximately 20 miles southwest, a 30 to 40-minute drive depending on traffic along Highway 1. The Tourist Corridor, where most of the major resorts sit (Palmilla, Las Ventanas, Chileno Bay), runs between the two towns and is 15 to 30 minutes from the airport. Pre-arranged car service from your FBO or resort concierge is the standard option. Rental cars are available at the terminal. Helicopter transfers to resort helipads exist but are not widely offered by scheduled operators.
