About Signature Montego Bay
Signature Montego Bay operates a private aviation facility at Sangster International Airport, Jamaica's busiest gateway for private jet traffic and the primary arrival point for the north coast resort areas. Signature acquired the facility from IAM Jet Centre, which had built the original VIP mini-terminal at the east end of the airport.
The FBO features dedicated customs and immigration facilities on-site, allowing private jet passengers to clear formalities within the terminal rather than mixing with commercial travelers. The facility includes VIP lounges, crew areas, and a private roadway entrance that provides discretion for high-profile arrivals and departures. Complimentary Wi-Fi and catering services are available, and the team handles concierge requests.
Signature's ground handling covers fueling, aircraft parking, baggage handling, and all ramp services. The staff coordinates ground transportation to the north coast's resort areas, including direct access to Montego Bay's hotel strip, Round Hill, Tryall Club, and the Half Moon resort. The airport is positioned about 3 miles east of Montego Bay's city center.
Sangster Airport handles significant private aviation volume year-round, with peaks during the winter high season from December through April when the north coast resorts are at full capacity. The airport operates extended hours and can accommodate business jets of all sizes on its 8,700-foot runway.
For charter passengers, the Signature terminal at Montego Bay provides an efficient entry to Jamaica with the backing of the world's largest FBO network. The facility maintains IAM Jet Centre's commitment to Caribbean hospitality while adding Signature's global operational standards. Operations at Sangster International Airport
Most north coast resorts are within 30 to 90 minutes of the airport. The hotel zone along Gloucester Avenue (the Hip Strip) is about 3 miles from the terminal, roughly 10 minutes by car. Rose Hall resorts, including Half Moon and the Sandals properties, are 7 to 10 miles east, about 15 to 20 minutes. Negril is 55 miles west, typically 90 minutes by road. Ocho Rios is about 65 miles east along the coast, also around 90 minutes. Car service and private transfers are available through most resorts and FBO handlers. Helicopter transfers between MKJS and other points on the island are available through local operators.
