About IAM Jet Centre Montego Bay
IAM Jet Centre operates a VIP mini-terminal at the east end of Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, designed to deliver what the company describes as a five-star boutique hotel experience for private aviation passengers. The 4,500-square-foot facility includes dedicated in-house customs and immigration, luxurious passenger lounges, pilot facilities, and a private roadway entrance.
The terminal's design prioritizes seamless and confidential arrivals and departures. A dedicated parking apron sits steps from the FBO entrance, minimizing the walk between aircraft and terminal. The private road access means cars can pull directly to the terminal without navigating the main airport entrance or parking areas used by commercial travelers.
IAM Jet Centre provides full FBO services including fueling, ground handling, baggage assistance, and aircraft parking. The concierge team arranges helicopter and light aircraft transfers to destinations like Port Antonio and Ocho Rios, as well as luxury ground transportation, hotel bookings, and activity planning. Caribbean elegance is woven into the service style, with staff trained to deliver warm, personalized attention.
It is worth noting that Signature Flight Support purchased IAM Jet Centre's Caribbean operations, and the Montego Bay location now operates under Signature branding. However, the physical facility and much of the service approach originated with IAM Jet Centre's investment in the property.
Sangster Airport is the primary gateway to Jamaica's north coast, with Montego Bay's hotel strip, the famous Hip Strip, and Doctor's Cave Beach all within 10 minutes. The resort corridor extending west to Round Hill and Tryall Club is about 30 minutes by car. Operations at Sangster International Airport
Most north coast resorts are within 30 to 90 minutes of the airport. The hotel zone along Gloucester Avenue (the Hip Strip) is about 3 miles from the terminal, roughly 10 minutes by car. Rose Hall resorts, including Half Moon and the Sandals properties, are 7 to 10 miles east, about 15 to 20 minutes. Negril is 55 miles west, typically 90 minutes by road. Ocho Rios is about 65 miles east along the coast, also around 90 minutes. Car service and private transfers are available through most resorts and FBO handlers. Helicopter transfers between MKJS and other points on the island are available through local operators.
