About Aero Charter

Aero Charter has operated at Spirit of St. Louis Airport for more than 40 years as a family-style independent, not affiliated with any national FBO chain. Aviation International News has named it the number one FBO in St. Louis, and the FAA has recognized its maintenance and avionics departments for NBAA safety standards, which are markers that independent operators earn through consistent performance rather than corporate branding.

A major terminal renovation completed in 2017 updated the passenger and crew spaces, so the physical facility reflects what charter clients expect from a full-service stop. The operation covers the full range: FBO ramp services, aircraft management, charter coordination, maintenance, and avionics, all under one roof. You are not handed off between vendors when you land here.

Spirit of St. Louis sits 19 miles west of downtown, in Chesterfield, which places it close to the western St. Louis County business corridor, Clayton, and the suburbs along Highway 40. For passengers heading to companies or residences on the western side of the metro, the drive time from KSUS is considerably shorter than coming in through Lambert-St. Louis International.

The independent ownership model tends to produce a different floor-level experience than chain FBOs. Staff generally stay longer, know the regulars, and have more latitude to solve problems on the spot rather than escalating to a regional manager. After four decades on the same field, Aero Charter knows KSUS inside and out, including the nuances of ramp coordination during busy periods and the local ground transport options that work reliably for passengers.
