About Atlantic Aviation
Atlantic Aviation operates a $25 million-plus FBO at Salt Lake City International Airport, featuring a 12,700-square-foot terminal and two 30,000-square-foot hangars on a 17-acre complex. The facility's mountain lodge architecture sets it apart from typical airport terminals, with custom interior artwork, a large stone fireplace, stone flooring, and wood ceilings that evoke the Wasatch Range visible through the windows. The CSR counters are designed to mimic the mountain ridgeline.
The terminal operates 24/7 with VIP facilities, a passenger lounge, crew amenities, rental car services, and aircraft maintenance capabilities. Atlantic's concierge team maintains partnerships with select hotels and restaurants in the Salt Lake City area and can provide personal recommendations and discounted rates at partner properties.
Salt Lake City's appeal for private aviation is largely driven by ski season. Eleven ski resorts sit within an hour's drive, with Park City and Deer Valley accessible in 40 to 50 minutes via I-80 East. During the December-through-March ski season, the FBO sees heavy traffic from passengers heading to the slopes, and advance fuel and parking reservations are advisable during holiday weeks.
Beyond skiing, Salt Lake City serves as a corporate hub for companies in technology, outdoor recreation, and financial services. The Sundance Film Festival in Park City each January generates a concentrated burst of private jet arrivals. The airport's four runways, including a shorter eastern runway friendly to general aviation, accommodate everything from light jets to heavy aircraft. Fuel pricing and landing fees at SLC tend to be competitive compared to Rocky Mountain resort airports like Aspen, Vail, and Jackson Hole.

Operations at Salt Lake City International Airport
Downtown Salt Lake City is 5 miles east of the airport, typically 10 to 15 minutes by car. Park City is 35 miles away via I-80, running 35 to 45 minutes outside ski season and up to 90 minutes on busy winter weekends when canyon traffic backs up. Snowbird and Alta in Little Cottonwood Canyon are about 30 miles southeast, 35 to 50 minutes depending on conditions. Deer Valley and Deer Valley East are roughly 40 miles out. Car service from both FBOs is well established. Operators including Carey Utah, Executive Transportation, and several local luxury car services regularly work KSLC private terminals. Rideshare is available but during peak ski weekends wait times can run long. For groups heading to the same resort, a pre-arranged van or SUV convoy is the standard approach.
