About Basler Flight Service

Basler Flight Service is the FBO at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, home of EAA AirVenture, the world's largest annual aviation gathering. The Basler family has operated here since 1957, more than a decade before the Experimental Aircraft Association chose Oshkosh as the permanent home of its fly-in convention. The facility provides year-round fuel service with Shell-branded Jet A and 100LL, hangar space, and maintenance support for Wisconsin general aviation. The terminal includes a pilot lounge, conference room, flight planning room with wireless internet, and office machines. Staff assists with lodging reservations, restaurant recommendations, car rental coordination, and catering for departing flights. Complimentary transportation to the nearby EAA Aviation Museum is available, making a visit easy for aviation enthusiasts with time between flights. During AirVenture week, typically held in late July, the airport transforms from handling about 200 aircraft per month to roughly 4,000 in a single week. Basler operates two remote fueling stations on the EAA grounds during the event to serve departing aircraft. For charter passengers flying in during AirVenture, advance planning is essential, as ramp space, fuel availability, and local accommodations fill up months in advance. Outside of AirVenture season, Oshkosh serves as a gateway to Wisconsin's Fox Valley region and the Lake Winnebago recreational area. Basler is also known in the aviation world for its BT-67, a modernized and re-engined Douglas DC-3 used in polar operations and remote cargo missions. The company's deep aviation heritage gives the FBO an authentic character. The airport's 6,179-foot primary runway handles light and midsize jets comfortably.
