About Signature Flight Support

Signature Flight Support is the sole FBO at Chicago O'Hare International Airport, operating from Patton Road, Building 825 on the general aviation side of one of the world's busiest airports. For charter passengers, this facility provides private aviation access to an airport that most people associate exclusively with commercial airline travel. The terminal features exclusive passenger lounges, conference rooms, pilot amenities with showers and a book library, and concierge support for ground transportation, dining, and hotel arrangements. U.S. Customs pre-clearance is available on site, which is particularly valuable for international arrivals that want to avoid the delays common at O'Hare's commercial customs facility. The airport's runways, the longest stretching to 13,000 feet, can handle any aircraft type from light jets to the largest ultra-long-range models. Operating at O'Hare does come with trade-offs that charter passengers should understand. The airport's heavy commercial traffic can lead to taxi delays and sequencing waits during peak hours, and slot restrictions may apply. Many Chicago-area private aviation operators prefer Midway, Chicago Executive, or DuPage Airport for faster in-and-out operations. However, O'Hare's Signature FBO serves passengers who need to be at or near the airport for connecting commercial flights, corporate meetings at nearby office parks in Rosemont or Schaumburg, or events at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center. The location at 10000 West O'Hare Avenue puts passengers within minutes of the I-90 and I-294 corridors. For travelers whose itinerary specifically requires O'Hare, Signature provides a private terminal experience that insulates passengers from the commercial terminal chaos while still accessing the airport's unmatched runway infrastructure.

Downtown Chicago (the Loop) is 17 miles southeast, typically 35 to 50 minutes by car in normal traffic and 60 to 90 minutes during peak commute hours. The Kennedy Expressway (I-90/94) is the direct route but congests heavily on weekday afternoons. Black car and town car services are readily available from Signature's FBO with advance notice. The CTA Blue Line train connects O'Hare to downtown in about 45 minutes for a flat $2.50 fare, though most private passengers arriving at the FBO ramp will not find this practical. For the North Shore suburbs (Evanston, Winnetka, Lake Forest), drive times run 20 to 40 minutes depending on destination.
