Flightline First
New Orleans, LA
About Flightline First
Flightline First is the oldest and only locally owned FBO at New Orleans Lakefront Airport, operating since 2007 on the south shore of Lake Pontchartrain. The facility offers a distinctly upscale experience that reviewers consistently describe as five-star, with a beautifully appointed terminal that feels more like a boutique hotel lobby than a typical aviation facility. The interior features comfortable seating, complimentary snacks, and a spotless environment maintained to high standards. For charter passengers, the location is hard to beat. Lakefront Airport sits just six miles from the French Quarter and the Central Business District, making it the closest private aviation option to the heart of New Orleans. The drive to most downtown hotels takes 15 to 20 minutes, compared to 30 minutes or more from Louis Armstrong International on the west side of the city. Flightline First keeps both Hertz and Enterprise rental car desks on site, and crew cars are available for flight crews. The FBO also coordinates taxi service, hotel reservations, and catering. Fueling is competitive, with Flightline consistently offering some of the lowest Jet A prices in the New Orleans market. The Runway Cafe, located next door in the airport terminal building, serves well-regarded burgers and other fare for passengers with time to spare before departure. The check-in process is quick and seamless, and the line crew handles aircraft with care. Lakefront Airport's 6,879-foot runway accommodates most midsize and super-midsize jets, though heavier aircraft may need to use MSY instead. For visitors heading to Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, Saints games, or the city's world-class dining scene, Flightline First provides a smooth and personalized arrival experience.
