About Signature Flight Support
Signature Flight Support operates the sole FBO at Kansas City International Airport, located at 880 Mexico City Avenue on the general aviation side of the field. As the only private aviation provider at KCI, Signature handles all charter and corporate traffic at one of the busiest airports in the central United States.
The facility includes a 14,400-square-foot hangar, a passenger lounge with complimentary refreshments and Wi-Fi, and a snooze room for crew rest. U.S. Customs is available on the airport for international arrivals, which is particularly useful for flights from Canada and Mexico. The staff provides ground transportation coordination, rental car access, and concierge services.
KCI is located about 18 miles northwest of downtown Kansas City, which makes the drive to the city center roughly 25 to 30 minutes depending on traffic. For passengers whose destination is closer to downtown, many charter operators prefer Charles B. Wheeler Downtown Airport, which is immediately adjacent to the city center. However, KCI offers longer runways, full instrument approaches, and the infrastructure of a major international airport.
The airport has three runways, with the longest at 10,801 feet, accommodating any business jet without restrictions. The field sits at 1,026 feet elevation on the flat terrain north of the Missouri River.
Kansas City's attractions are spread across both the Missouri and Kansas sides of the metro area. The Power and Light entertainment district, the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, and the Country Club Plaza shopping district are all on the Missouri side. Arrowhead Stadium and Kauffman Stadium are about 30 minutes south of the airport. Kansas City's barbecue scene needs no introduction, and the Crossroads Arts District has become a dining destination in its own right.
As the sole FBO at a major commercial airport, Signature KCI provides professional, predictable service without competitive alternatives on the field.
