About Atlantic Aviation
Atlantic Aviation at Long Beach operates on the west side of the airfield near Wardlow Road, providing a second FBO option for charter passengers using this appealing alternative to LAX. The facility holds CAA Preferred FBO status and has invested in expanded infrastructure, including a new development that brings additional hangar capacity and upgraded terminal space to the field.
The terminal includes a passenger lounge, Wi-Fi, and ground handling services that cover everything from fueling to baggage coordination. Atlantic's staff can arrange rental cars, car service, and hotel accommodations throughout the Long Beach and greater Los Angeles area. The FBO's community hangar accommodates one large-cabin jet alongside multiple midsize and smaller aircraft, with a 28-foot door clearance. Exclusive-use hangars ranging from 2,500 to 4,200 square feet are available for based tenants.
For charter passengers, Long Beach Airport offers a valuable combination of access and convenience. The field is 25 miles south of downtown LA, 15 miles from Anaheim, and sits at the edge of Orange County's coastal communities including Huntington Beach, Newport Beach, and Laguna Beach. The city of Long Beach itself has a walkable downtown, the Aquarium of the Pacific, and a growing restaurant scene along the waterfront.
Long Beach enforces noise restrictions that limit certain aircraft types and hours of operation, so your charter operator will need to verify compliance in advance. The tradeoff is a noticeably quieter, less congested airport experience compared to LAX or even Van Nuys.
Atlantic's Long Beach location avoids the higher fees and longer taxi times associated with LAX while putting passengers within easy reach of virtually anywhere in the LA basin. The combination of competitive pricing, professional handling, and a strategic coastal location makes it a solid choice.
