About Signature Flight Support

Signature Flight Support at Hilton Head Airport occupies a mid-island location that puts arriving passengers within minutes of the island's top golf courses and beach resorts. Hilton Head is one of the premier leisure destinations on the East Coast, home to Harbour Town Golf Links, which hosts the RBC Heritage PGA Tour event each April, along with courses designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jack Nicklaus, and Pete Dye. The island draws a steady stream of private aviation traffic from golfers, vacationing families, and corporate retreat groups. Signature's FBO provides full ground handling, Jet A fueling, a pilot lounge with refreshments and shower facilities, and concierge services that can coordinate resort transfers, tee times, and restaurant reservations throughout the Lowcountry. The hangar can accommodate larger aircraft, and the ramp handles significant traffic during tournament weeks and peak summer season. The airport's single runway is 4,300 feet, which limits operations to light and some midsize jets, so passengers on larger aircraft may need to consider Savannah-Hilton Head International about 45 minutes away. The island itself is 12 miles long and five miles wide, with a year-round population of about 40,000 that swells to over 250,000 during summer. Beyond golf, the draw includes 12 miles of beaches, kayaking through the salt marshes, and the restaurants of Bluffton just across the bridge. Signature's staff is accustomed to the leisure-focused clientele and can help with the logistics of getting from the ramp to the resort with minimal friction.

Most resort areas on Hilton Head are within 10 to 20 minutes of the airport by car. Sea Pines is about 7 miles south, roughly 15 minutes depending on traffic on US-278. The Coligny Beach area and Palmetto Dunes are similar distances. Bluffton, on the mainland just over the bridge, is about 12 miles and 20 minutes. Rental cars are available on the airport property. Several car services and private sedan operators serve the island, and Uber and Lyft both operate here with reasonable availability. If you are headed to Savannah proper for dinner or events, plan on 45 to 50 miles and about an hour each way.
