City Terminal Flight Services is the city-operated FBO at New Braunfels National Airport, located in the fast-growing corridor between San Antonio and Austin along Interstate 35. The terminal is a 5,000-square-foot facility that includes a lobby doubling as a 40-seat conference room, a kitchenette, a pilot lounge, and a flight planning area. For charter passengers, this is a practical alternative to the busier commercial airports in San Antonio and Austin, with significantly less congestion and no airline traffic to compete with on approach. The FBO is staffed from 7 AM to 7 PM daily, with 24-hour self-serve fuel pumps for both 100LL and Jet A available on the northwest ramp along Taxiway Alpha. After-hours service requests carry a $100 call-out fee, so passengers should plan arrivals accordingly. Three courtesy cars are available on a first-come basis for short trips, and coffee and vending machines are on hand in the terminal. Rental and crew cars can also be arranged. The airport serves a city that has exploded in population over the past decade, driven by its location between two major Texas metros and attractions like Schlitterbahn Waterpark, the Guadalupe and Comal rivers for tubing, and Gruene Hall, the oldest dance hall in Texas. New Braunfels is about 30 minutes from downtown San Antonio and 45 minutes from Austin. Ramp fees are waived for one day with a minimum fuel purchase.
