About Signature Flight Support
Signature Flight Support operates the dedicated general aviation terminal at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the world's busiest airport by passenger volume. For charter passengers, this means access to Atlanta's massive commercial infrastructure without the crowds. The FBO runs 24 hours a day and features both a standard terminal and a separate LEED Silver-certified Elite Terminal designed for sports charters, VIP movements, and high-profile clients. The Elite Terminal includes a dedicated customs and immigration area for expedited international clearance, spacious lounges with airfield views, and private processing that keeps charter passengers well separated from commercial traffic. The main Signature terminal offers the chain's standard amenities including pilot rest areas, refreshments, Wi-Fi, and flight planning resources. A 12-bay hangar complex accommodates a wide range of aircraft types. On-site U.S. Customs and Border Protection supports both domestic and international charter operations without the need to clear through the main commercial terminal. Ground transportation from the FBO connects quickly to downtown Atlanta, Buckhead, and the convention district. For passengers attending events at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the Georgia World Congress Center, or conducting business in the city's corporate corridors, Signature ATL provides a private aviation experience that bypasses the notorious congestion of the commercial terminals. The FBO also handles frequent sports team charters, with facilities specifically designed to accommodate large groups with equipment.
Amenities and services
Operations at Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport
Downtown Atlanta is 10 miles north, typically 20 to 30 minutes by car outside peak hours. Midtown runs about 12 miles and 25 to 35 minutes. Buckhead, a common destination for corporate travelers and hotel stays, is 17 miles and 30 to 45 minutes depending on I-85 traffic. The I-85/I-285 interchange near the airport is one of the most congested in the Southeast, so morning and evening drives to northern Atlanta can run significantly longer. Car service and black car providers are well-established at KATL. MARTA's Gold and Red rail lines connect the airport to downtown and Midtown in about 20 minutes, but most charter passengers use ground transport arranged through the FBO or their operator.
