About Signature Flight Support
Signature Flight Support operates a newly built FBO at Edinburgh Airport, its fourth location in Scotland and 47th in Europe. The facility features a dedicated 6,497 square meter general aviation ramp that can handle aircraft of all sizes, from King Air turboprops to Airbus A330 widebodies. This ramp capacity is unusual for a Scottish airport and allows Signature Edinburgh to accommodate charter and private flights on even the largest business aircraft. The terminal includes VIP suites, a conference room, and a fully stocked bar alongside standard tea and coffee service. The base is fully self-sufficient with its own ground support equipment including fuel bowsers, pushback tugs, steps, GPU units, belt loaders, and toilet and water service vehicles. On-site customs and immigration processing is available, and Edinburgh Airport operates 24 hours for private jet traffic. Signature Edinburgh has also launched its Elite Class product, which allows commercial airline passengers to use the FBO for a premium arrival or departure experience separate from the main terminal. For charter passengers, Edinburgh needs little introduction. Scotland's capital is a year-round destination for business, festivals (particularly the Edinburgh Fringe in August), golf, and cultural tourism. The airport sits approximately eight miles west of the city center, with fast road and tram connections. The newly built facility represents a significant upgrade over the previous Edinburgh FBO infrastructure and provides a modern, purpose-designed environment for private aviation passengers. The combination of a large dedicated ramp, self-sufficient ground operations, and new terminal facilities makes this one of the stronger Signature locations in the UK.

Operations at Edinburgh Airport
Edinburgh city centre is 8 miles east of the airport. A taxi or private car hire takes 20 to 30 minutes under normal traffic conditions, though the A8 corridor into the city can slow significantly at peak hours. A tram line connects the airport to York Place near the east end of Princes Street in about 35 minutes. For golfers heading to St Andrews, the drive is roughly 55 miles northeast via the M90, typically 75 to 90 minutes. The Scottish Highlands are accessible via the A9 north of Perth, approximately 90 minutes from the airport to Pitlochry.
