About Cornwall Aviation
Cornwall Aviation provides FBO services at Cornwall Regional Airport in eastern Ontario, roughly midway between Montreal and Ottawa along the St. Lawrence River corridor. The airport is licensed for both day and night VFR and IFR operations, with two instrument approaches and pilot-controlled lighting for after-dark arrivals. Fuel is available through a 24-hour self-serve card lock system, along with all grades of aviation oil. The facility serves primarily as a flight training center and aerial services provider, handling pipeline inspection and wildlife surveys in addition to private aviation. Cornwall Aviation also provides aircraft maintenance services on site. Canada Customs Service is available at the airport for international arrivals, which is useful given the proximity to the US border (Massena, New York is just across the river). Ottawa Aviation Services operates a separate private aircraft maintenance facility at the field as well. For charter passengers, Cornwall Regional offers a quiet, uncongested alternative to Ottawa or Montreal for accessing eastern Ontario. The airport is about a 10-minute drive from downtown Cornwall and roughly one hour from Ottawa or Montreal by car. The terminal building is modest but functional, with basic amenities for waiting passengers. Communications are handled on UNICOM frequency 122.775. The airport has general aviation hangar lots and parking sites available for visiting aircraft.
