About Melbourne Jet Base
Melbourne Jet Base is Australia's first and only purpose-built private aviation terminal, located at Melbourne Airport (Tullamarine). The facility was designed from the ground up to provide a complete luxury travel experience, and it operates 24/7 with a level of amenities and service that positions it among the best FBOs in the Asia-Pacific region.
The terminal features luxurious passenger lounges, personal suites for privacy, first-class dining with gourmet menu options, and private meeting rooms equipped with modern technology. A rest and recovery zone serves guests, pilots, and crew during longer ground stops. In-house customs and immigration screening eliminates the need to transit through the main international terminal, and helicopter transfers to Melbourne's CBD are available for passengers who want to skip the highway entirely.
Hangar capacity accommodates 18 business aircraft, and a 60,000 square meter apron provides flexible parking options for overflow or larger aircraft that exceed hangar dimensions. Refueling, ground handling, and comprehensive ground support round out the operational side. The facility is backed by Little Group, one of Australia's private aviation companies.
Melbourne is Australia's cultural capital, home to the Australian Open tennis, the Melbourne Cup horse race, the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix, and a dining and arts scene that rivals any global city. The airport sits about 25 kilometers northwest of the city center, with a typical drive of 30 to 45 minutes depending on traffic. The Yarra Valley wine region is about an hour east, and the Great Ocean Road begins roughly 90 minutes southwest. Melbourne Jet Base's concierge team arranges all ground transportation, hotel bookings, restaurant reservations, and activity coordination throughout Victoria.

Peak hour, particularly late afternoon on weekdays, can push that to 50 to 60 minutes. Chauffeured car services are the standard option for private aviation passengers. SkyBus runs frequent coaches to Southern Cross Station in the city for those traveling light. Ride-share pickup is from designated zones outside the arrivals level. The Doncaster and Mornington Peninsula corridors are 45 to 75 minutes by car depending on traffic.
