About Lloyd Aviation Services

Lloyd Aviation Services is the sole FBO at Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport, the only airport in Anguilla. Founded in 2004 by CEO David Lloyd, a commercial pilot with an Airline Transport Pilot rating, the company has grown from a basic fueling operation into a full-service private aviation facility that reflects the island's increasingly upscale tourism market.

The FBO maintains a 100,000-gallon Jet A fuel farm along with avgas supply, ensuring reliable fuel availability even during peak winter season. On-site customs and immigration processing is handled within the FBO, and the concierge team arranges ground transportation, gourmet catering, and transfers to the island's luxury resorts and villa properties. A VIP lounge and executive conference rooms are available for arriving passengers. A new private jet terminal, representing a six-million-dollar investment, is expected to further elevate the facility.

Anguilla's runway measures 5,456 feet, which accommodates light and midsize jets but imposes restrictions on larger aircraft. Operators should verify performance requirements before planning flights with heavy jets. The island is a short flight or 20-minute ferry ride from neighboring Sint Maarten, and many passengers use Princess Juliana International as an alternate if their aircraft exceeds Anguilla's runway limitations.

Anguilla itself is a flat coral island known for some of the Caribbean's finest beaches, including Shoal Bay East and Meads Bay, along with luxury resorts like Belmond Cap Juluca, Four Seasons, and Aurora Anguilla. The island's restaurant scene punches well above its weight for a place with roughly 15,000 residents. Lloyd Aviation's position as the sole ground handler means the team knows virtually every operator who flies in, and the personalized service reflects that familiarity.

The Valley, Anguilla's capital, is about 3 miles from the airport by road. West End, where most of the island's luxury resorts are concentrated, including Cap Juluca and Malliouhana, is roughly 12 to 14 miles away, typically a 20 to 25 minute taxi ride. Most hotels coordinate transfers directly. Taxis are available at the terminal and rental cars can be arranged, though a UK-style driving license endorsement is required for Anguilla. Guests flying into St. Maarten instead take a 20-minute ferry from Marigot (French side) or Blowing Point terminal on the Anguilla side, with hotel or taxi pickup waiting at the dock.
