About Italy FBO (Delta Aerotaxi)
Italy FBO, operated by Delta Aerotaxi, holds the distinction of being the first FBO in Italy to achieve IS-BAH Stage III accreditation, the highest level of the International Business Aviation Council's safety management standard. This certification, earned at both their Pisa and Florence locations, places the facility among an elite group of FBOs worldwide that meet the most rigorous operational safety benchmarks.
The Pisa facility serves as the primary private aviation gateway to Tuscany, with Florence, Siena, Lucca, and the Chianti wine region all within reasonable driving distance. The FBO provides full ground handling services including fueling, aircraft parking, customs and immigration assistance, and VIP transport coordination. The team manages catering, hotel arrangements, and luxury car transfers to destinations throughout the region.
Delta Aerotaxi operates at 11 locations across Italy, including Florence Peretola, Verona, Genoa, Bergamo, Bari, Ancona, Perugia, Cuneo, and Taranto. This nationwide network means flight departments can access consistent service standards and familiar procedures at multiple Italian airports, which simplifies operations for multi-city itineraries.
Pisa Galileo Galilei Airport sits about 80 kilometers west of Florence and offers a longer runway than Florence's Peretola Airport, making it accessible to a wider range of business jet types. The drive to central Florence takes about an hour, while Pisa's own historic center with the Leaning Tower is just minutes away. The Tuscan coast and Forte dei Marmi beach resort are within 30 minutes.
For charter passengers, the Italy FBO at Pisa combines a safety-first operation with practical Tuscan access. The IS-BAH Stage III certification reflects a mature safety culture, and the handling team's experience across 11 Italian airports means they understand the nuances of operating in Italian airspace and on Italian airport surfaces.
