About Grand Aire
Grand Aire is the only staffed 24/7/365 full-service FBO at Eugene F. Kranz Toledo Express Airport, named for the Gemini and Apollo flight director who grew up in Toledo. The operation expanded its footprint by acquiring National Flight Services in 2024, consolidating FBO operations at the airport under a single provider.
The terminal features a spacious lounge with oversized flat-screen televisions, two workstations with free Wi-Fi, and a separate snack area with vending options, kitchen appliances, and complimentary coffee, bottled water, and popcorn. Pilots and aircrew have their own private lounge with two individual sleeping quarters and an exclusive weather center equipped with flight planning computers. The facility includes seven acres of ramp space and two heated high-tail hangars that can accommodate a wide variety of aircraft.
Grand Aire provides U.S. Customs clearance, making it a convenient port of entry for flights arriving from Canada, which is just 60 miles across Lake Erie. The customs process at Toledo is typically faster and less crowded than at larger international airports. The FBO also maintains significant cargo handling capability, including loading and unloading of air freight, forklift operations, freight consolidation, and temperature-controlled warehousing.
Toledo sits along the I-75 and I-80 corridors, providing highway access to Detroit (60 miles north), Cleveland (120 miles east), and Columbus (150 miles south). The Toledo Museum of Art, one of the finest mid-sized art museums in the country, and the Toledo Zoo are popular local attractions. For charter passengers, Grand Aire's round-the-clock staffing and comprehensive service menu make it a reliable stop in the western Lake Erie region.
