About Pendleton Aviation
Pendleton Aviation is the FBO at Eastern Oregon Regional Airport, serving the city of Pendleton and the surrounding agricultural and ranching communities of northeastern Oregon. The facility at 4801 NW A Avenue provides Jet A and 100LL fuel 24 hours a day via self-service pumps, with full-service fueling available during business hours. The airport occupies a 920-acre campus with three paved runways, the longest stretching to 6,301 feet, and a control tower. The facility offers a spacious lounge, courtesy services, and car rental coordination for passengers needing ground transportation. The passenger terminal houses a popular bar and restaurant, and an information center where visitors can check weather conditions and learn about area attractions. Pendleton is best known for the Pendleton Round-Up, one of the largest and oldest professional rodeos in the United States, held annually in mid-September. During Round-Up week, the airport sees a significant increase in private aviation traffic from ranch owners, rodeo participants, and spectators flying in from across the Pacific Northwest. The Pendleton Underground Tours, the Tamastslikt Cultural Institute operated by the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation, and the Pendleton Woolen Mills factory are year-round draws. The surrounding Blue Mountains offer hunting, fishing, and outdoor recreation. Eastern Oregon's wide-open landscape and low traffic density make for straightforward approaches and departures. The airport sits at 1,497 feet elevation with relatively benign terrain in the immediate vicinity. For charter passengers heading to northeastern Oregon for business in agriculture, energy, or the timber industry, or attending the Round-Up, Pendleton Aviation provides essential services in a part of the state where FBO options are few and far between.
