About KaiserAir

KaiserAir is an independent, full-service FBO at Oakland International Airport's North Field, operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year from Hangar 5 at 8735 Earhart Road. The company holds an unusual combination of FAA certificates, including Part 145 repair station, Part 135 charter, and Part 121 airline authorizations, making it one of the most operationally versatile FBOs in the Bay Area. For charter passengers, the experience starts with a spacious passenger lounge and easy ramp access that allows vehicles to pull close to aircraft for quick, private boarding. The terminal includes an executive conference room for pre-flight meetings, and the crew suite offers a day room, shower, and WSI satellite weather briefing station. Complimentary amenities include gourmet coffee and freshly baked cookies, with 24-hour gourmet catering available from top local sources for in-flight meals. Courtesy crew cars are provided, and third-party rental cars can be arranged. The facility is pet-friendly with a designated relief area. KaiserAir specializes in maintenance for Gulfstream, Hawker, and Cessna Citation business jets, which means aircraft receiving service can have FBO needs handled simultaneously. Customs and immigration services are available on the airport, and the FBO coordinates CBP appointments for international arrivals. KaiserAir competes directly with Signature on Oakland's North Field, and its appeal lies in the independent, locally managed approach that often translates to more personalized service and competitive fuel pricing. The facility's position at Oakland gives passengers the same location advantages as Signature: quick access to San Francisco, the East Bay, and Silicon Valley without the delays typical at SFO.

Downtown Oakland is 5 miles from the airport, typically 10 to 15 minutes by car. San Francisco is 12 miles via the Bay Bridge, but bridge traffic is the variable: off-peak the drive runs 20 to 25 minutes, while weekday afternoon rush can stretch past an hour. Car services and black car operators work KOAK regularly. BART rail connects the airport to downtown Oakland in about 15 minutes and reaches downtown San Francisco in 35 minutes, though most private passengers use ground transportation. For Silicon Valley destinations, the drive south on I-880 puts you in Palo Alto in 35 to 45 minutes and San Jose in 45 to 55 minutes under normal traffic. Berkeley is 8 miles north, about 15 minutes. Helicopter transfers to San Francisco helipads are available through operators at the airport for passengers who need to skip the bridge entirely.
