About Wisconsin Aviation

Wisconsin Aviation is the state's largest full-service FBO, operating around the clock at Dane County Regional Airport in Madison. The facility handles everything from charter and maintenance to avionics, flight training, and aircraft sales, but for arriving charter passengers, the standout feature is the Jet Room, a full-service restaurant located inside the FBO terminal building.

The Jet Room specializes in breakfast and lunch, with large picture windows overlooking the active general aviation ramp. Signature dishes include hearty omelettes, six kinds of eggs Benedict, and fresh-ground chuck burgers. The restaurant has been a Madison institution since Pat and Pam O'Malley opened it in 1997, and it draws both airport users and locals who make the trip specifically for the food. The restaurant also provides catering for departing corporate and charter flights.

Beyond the restaurant, the FBO terminal provides pilot and passenger lounges, Wi-Fi, conference rooms, and ground transportation services including rental cars and crew cars. The staff handles hotel reservations and can provide recommendations for Madison's dining and entertainment options.

Dane County Regional has a primary runway of 9,005 feet, handling all business jet categories. The airport is about 6 miles northeast of downtown Madison and 8 miles from the University of Wisconsin campus. The state capitol and the pedestrian-friendly State Street corridor connecting it to campus are the center of city life.

Madison consistently ranks among the most livable cities in the country, with a food scene anchored by the Dane County Farmers Market on the Capitol Square, the largest producers-only market in the United States. Epic Systems, the healthcare software company, is headquartered in nearby Verona and generates significant corporate aviation traffic.

Wisconsin Aviation's combination of 24-hour service, comprehensive aviation capabilities, and a genuinely good on-site restaurant makes it one of the more complete FBO experiences in the Midwest.
