About Monterey Jet Center
Monterey Jet Center is the premier FBO at Monterey Regional Airport, operating a 200,000-square-foot hangar complex and 10,000 square feet of office and customer service space at 300 Sky Park Drive. The facility can house aircraft up to DC-9 size, which gives it the capacity to handle the large-cabin jets that regularly visit the Monterey Peninsula.
The terminal includes a pilot lounge, weather services, Wi-Fi, and comfortable passenger areas. The staff provides full concierge services for a region that demands it, helping arrange ground transportation, hotel reservations, restaurant bookings, and tee times at the area's legendary golf courses.
Pebble Beach Golf Links is about 10 minutes from the airport. Carmel-by-the-Sea, with its galleries, wine tasting rooms, and European-village atmosphere, is a similar distance south. Big Sur begins about 25 miles down the coast on Highway 1. During events like the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, Monterey Car Week and the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, and the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion at Laguna Seca, the ramp fills with the highest concentration of private jets on the California coast outside of Los Angeles.
Monterey Jet Center also serves as a popular fuel stop for transpacific flights to Hawaii and Asia, with the FBO's quick-turn capabilities keeping transit times short for crews on long-range routes.
The airport has a primary runway of 7,616 feet at just 257 feet elevation, handling all common business jet types. Marine layer fog can be a factor, particularly in summer mornings, but typically burns off by midday.
Monterey Jet Center competes with Del Monte Aviation on the field. Its larger hangar capacity, established reputation, and location make it the preferred choice for many charter operators and private aircraft visiting one of California's most coveted destinations.
