About Hawthorne Global Aviation Services

Hawthorne Global Aviation Services operates an FBO at Long Island MacArthur Airport with a heritage dating back to 1932, making it one of the oldest continuously operating aviation service companies in the country. The facility at 1751 Hering Drive in Ronkonkoma provides a first-class passenger experience with a large, comfortable lounge featuring a bar area, a fireplace, a big-screen television, and complimentary beverages and snacks. The atmosphere feels more like a private club than a typical FBO waiting room. Hawthorne provides full-service Jet A and 100LL fueling, with volume discounts and contract fuel programs available, along with U.S. Customs on-site for international flights. Regular hours run from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. seven days a week, with 24-hour on-call service available by reservation. Complimentary internet access and local ground transportation are included. The airport is located in Suffolk County on Long Island, roughly 50 miles east of Manhattan, and serves as an alternative to the congested New York City airports for passengers whose final destination is on Long Island or in the Hamptons. MacArthur has a 7,006-foot primary runway that handles midsize and super-midsize jets. The drive to the Hamptons takes about an hour depending on traffic and specific destination. The airport also has commercial airline service, which helps with crew repositioning. For charter passengers heading to Long Island's North Shore estates, South Fork beaches, or East End wineries, Hawthorne offers a more relaxed arrival than battling the traffic and delays that come with flying into JFK, LaGuardia, or even Republic Airport during peak summer weekends.
