About Skyservice Helena
Skyservice Helena operates the FBO at Helena Regional Airport, serving Montana's state capital from a facility at 2,430 Airport Road. The airport sits at 3,877 feet elevation with three runways, the longest at 9,000 feet, giving it the capacity to handle large business jets that many Montana airports cannot. Skyservice is a Canadian-headquartered FBO and aviation services company, and their Helena location brings that company's international service standards to a small Western market. The facility provides Jet A and 100LL fueling, government contract fueling, aircraft maintenance and repairs, oxygen service, and both ramp parking and hangar storage. Passenger amenities include a pilot lounge, shower facilities, courtesy cars, on-site rental cars, Wi-Fi, a WSI weather and flight planning center, concierge service, and gourmet catering arrangements. Aircraft detailing, anti-icing service, customs clearance, and escorted ramp access round out the service list. Helena's geographic position makes it a useful stop between Glacier National Park to the northwest and Yellowstone National Park to the south. Glacier's east entrance is about three hours by car, while Yellowstone's north entrance at Gardiner is roughly three hours south via I-15 and Highway 89. The city itself has a compact, historic downtown centered on Last Chance Gulch, a legacy of the 1864 gold rush. The Montana State Capitol and the Cathedral of St. Helena are notable landmarks. For charter passengers combining government business in the capital with outdoor recreation, Helena provides a well-equipped arrival point with more reliable weather than the mountain airports closer to the parks.
