About Atlantic Aviation HDN
Atlantic Aviation at Yampa Valley Airport is the established FBO serving the Steamboat Springs ski market, located about 25 miles west of the resort slopes near Hayden, Colorado. The facility provides Jet A fueling and full ground handling services at an airport that sees dramatic seasonal traffic swings, with winter ski season bringing a surge of large-cabin jets that can dwarf summer volumes several times over. Atlantic's national booking platform, Atlantic Gateway, lets passengers and operators reserve services and track real-time updates from any device, which is useful during the busy winter weeks when ramp space is at a premium. The airport sits at 6,602 feet elevation with a 9,998-foot runway that accommodates every class of business jet. Steamboat Springs is known for its champagne powder, a marketing term that is actually trademarked by the resort and describes the exceptionally light, dry snow that falls an average of over 300 inches per season. Beyond skiing, the town has a walkable downtown with restaurants and the natural Strawberry Park Hot Springs about 20 minutes outside of town. Summer brings fly fishing, mountain biking, and the Steamboat Rodeo series. Atlantic handles the standard suite of services at HDN: fueling, ground handling, de-icing, and passenger concierge. The drive from the airport to the base of the ski area takes about 30 minutes, and the FBO staff can coordinate shuttle services or rental car pickups. As one of now two FBOs on the field, Atlantic brings the consistency and fuel programs of a 100-plus location national network to this mountain gateway.
