About Astoria Regional Airport FBO

The Port of Astoria operates a basic but functional FBO at Astoria Regional Airport, a small field located three miles southwest of Astoria in Clatsop County on the northern Oregon coast. This is a practical stop for charter passengers headed to the mouth of the Columbia River, the Oregon coast beaches, or the historic town of Astoria itself. The FBO provides Jet A and 100LL fuel during staffed hours from 8 AM to 5 PM, with self-serve 100LL available around the clock. Transient aircraft can park on the ramp east of the terminal building for $10 per night. Hangar space may be available depending on current occupancy. Enterprise rental cars can be arranged through the FBO, and courtesy cars are sometimes available for short errands. After-hours call-out service runs $50 per hour with a two-hour minimum, so passengers on scheduled charter flights should coordinate arrival timing with the FBO in advance. The terminal itself is a straightforward facility with basic amenities. What makes Astoria Regional appealing for private aviation is its location: it is the closest airport to Cannon Beach, Seaside, and the Lewis and Clark National Historical Park, all within a short drive. The surrounding area draws visitors for its dramatic coastal scenery, craft breweries, and seafood. While the facility lacks the polish of a major metro FBO, the Port of Astoria team provides reliable ground support and fuel service for the charter passenger who values proximity to the Oregon coast over terminal luxury.

Operations at Astoria Regional Airport

Downtown Astoria is about four miles west of the airport, roughly ten minutes by car. Seaside and Cannon Beach are 17 and 25 miles south respectively, around 25-35 minutes via US-101. The Long Beach Peninsula in Washington is about 25 miles north across the Astoria-Megler Bridge. Portland is 95 miles southeast, typically 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours by car depending on traffic through the Coast Range. Car rentals are available at the airport. Ride-share coverage is limited in Astoria, so arranging a car service in advance is the more reliable option for onward travel.
