About Augusta Regional Airport Aviation Services

Augusta Regional Airport Aviation Services is the city-owned FBO at Augusta Regional Airport, handling all arriving general aviation and private jet traffic from a facility located south of the main terminal. The airport is best known for the extraordinary private jet traffic it handles during the Masters Tournament at Augusta National Golf Club each April, when 1,500 to 1,600 private aircraft descend on the field, bringing a month's worth of normal passenger volume in a single week. During Masters week, the airport hires over 100 additional employees, stocks half a million gallons of fuel, and converts one of its runways into aircraft parking to handle the surge. Mandatory PPR (Prior Permission Required) slot times and ramp parking reservations are enforced, with transient heavy aircraft (over 50,000 pounds) facing ramp fees of $3,000 per day. Early booking is essential during tournament week. Outside of the Masters, Augusta Regional serves as a more typical mid-size city FBO, receiving over 14,000 visitors annually. The facility offers standard amenities including a quiet room, free crew car, flight planning facilities, and conference space. Augusta National Golf Club is approximately 15 minutes from the airport by car. The airport features two runways, with the primary at 8,001 feet, accommodating large-cabin business jets without restriction. For charter passengers visiting Augusta, the FBO provides straightforward handling year-round with efficient processing and minimal congestion outside tournament season. The city-owned structure means competitive pricing on services. Ground transport into downtown Augusta or to the various golf courses and resort properties in the area is easily arranged through the FBO team.
