Sentient Jet 25-Hour Card

Sentient Jet created the private aviation jet card in 1999, and the 25-hour structure it pioneered is still its flagship product today. The company is now a subsidiary of Directional Aviation, whose portfolio also includes Flexjet. Sentient operates as a broker, not an owner-operator. It arranges flights through a network of vetted Part 135 carriers, each required to hold ARGUS Gold or Platinum ratings or Wyvern Wingman accreditation. The program sells in 25-hour blocks with base hourly rates fixed for 12 months from the purchase date. Four cabin tiers are available through two card products: the SJ25 covers light jets, and the SJ25+ covers midsize, super-midsize, and large-cabin aircraft. A variable fuel surcharge is billed separately on each flight based on jet fuel prices at the time of travel; Sentient added this surcharge in 2022. FET (7.5% federal excise tax) is bundled into the published hourly rates. The minimum purchase is non-refundable; hours carry forward indefinitely with no expiration. Guaranteed availability comes with a 10-hour callout on standard days. Sentient designates 29 peak days per year, concentrated around major holidays and high-travel periods. On peak days, large-cabin bookings require 96 hours notice and carry a surcharge of roughly 24%. Light and midsize jets remain at 10-hour callout and carry a 5% peak-day surcharge. The service area covers the continental US, Caribbean, and Mexico at fixed rates, with international travel available at separately quoted pricing.
