About Signature Flight Support
Signature Flight Support operates the busiest private aviation terminal in Italy at Milan Linate Airport, just 15 minutes from the heart of the city. The facility is housed within the Linate Prime General Aviation Terminal, which was refurbished in 2015 as part of a broader investment in business aviation infrastructure at the airport.
Signature entered the Italian market in 2016 through a partnership with SEA Prime, the company managing general aviation operations at Milan's airports. The facility features VIP passenger lounges, meeting rooms, and crew areas with comfortable seating and work spaces. Customs and immigration processing takes place on-site within the terminal, allowing international arrivals to clear formalities without leaving the FBO.
The ground handling team manages all standard services: fueling, aircraft parking, GPU, aircraft cleaning both interior and exterior, catering coordination, laundry services, and maintenance support through partner providers on the field. Weather briefings and flight planning assistance are available as standard amenities, and the concierge desk arranges ground transportation, hotel bookings, and restaurant reservations.
Linate's location gives it a significant advantage over Malpensa, Milan's larger international airport, which is about 50 kilometers northwest of the city. For business travelers heading to Milan's financial district, fashion houses, or trade fair grounds at Fiera Milano, Linate cuts the ground transfer time substantially.
The airport's proximity to the city center also means it handles significant business aviation volume, particularly during Milan Fashion Week, Salone del Mobile furniture fair, and the Formula 1 Grand Prix at Monza. For charter passengers, the Signature terminal at Linate delivers a smooth process: drive to the terminal, walk through a well-appointed lounge, clear customs, and be in central Milan within 20 minutes of landing.
Amenities and services
Operations at Milano Linate Airport
Central Milan (Piazza del Duomo) is 7km from the airport, typically 20 to 30 minutes by car depending on traffic. The A51 ring road feeds into the city quickly outside peak hours; morning and evening commute traffic on the Forlanini corridor can add 15 to 20 minutes. Porta Nuova and the CityLife financial district are 30 to 40 minutes. Taxi ranks are immediately outside arrivals. Professional car services and Mercedes-Sprinter transfers are widely available from Milan-based operators. Helicopter transfers from Linate to destinations in the lake district (Como, Bellagio) or to other northern Italian cities can be arranged through local operators, cutting what would otherwise be a 90-minute drive to Lake Como to under 20 minutes.
