About Signature Flight Support
Signature Flight Support is the sole FBO at Mobile Regional Airport, operating from 371 Flave Pierce Road on the east side of the field. As the only private aviation provider at the airport, Signature serves all charter and corporate traffic for Alabama's Gulf Coast port city.
The terminal includes a passenger lounge, Wi-Fi, and standard Signature amenities. Handling fees are waived with a minimum fuel purchase, which helps manage costs for operators making routine stops. The facility operates during business hours Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with two hours advance notice required for after-hours service. This limited schedule is worth noting for charter passengers planning evening or weekend arrivals.
Mobile Regional has two runways, with the primary at 8,520 feet, handling all business jet types. The airport is located about 10 miles southwest of downtown Mobile, with a straightforward drive into the city via Interstate 65.
Mobile is a city of roughly 190,000 people with a history that predates every other city on the Gulf Coast. The downtown waterfront district along the Mobile River has been revitalized with restaurants, the GulfQuest National Maritime Museum, and the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park across the bay. Mobile claims to host the oldest Mardi Gras celebration in the United States, predating New Orleans, and the two-week festival draws visitors from across the Southeast.
The Gulf Shores and Orange Beach resort communities are about an hour south on the Baldwin County coast. Bellingrath Gardens, one of the finest estate gardens in the South, is about 20 miles southwest. The city's restaurant scene features excellent Gulf seafood, particularly at the Wintzell's Oyster House downtown.
For charter passengers arriving on the Gulf Coast, Signature MOB provides reliable service, but the limited operating hours mean advance coordination is important.
