About Colgan Air Services
Colgan Air Services is the sole FBO at La Crosse Regional Airport, positioned just east of the Mississippi River in western Wisconsin. The facility has served as the region's primary private aviation gateway for decades, supporting both transient charter traffic and a growing base of locally operated aircraft.
The Customer Welcome Center is designed with passengers and crews in mind, offering comfortable seating, complimentary refreshments, and Wi-Fi. Avis rental vehicles are stationed on site for immediate pickup, and a courtesy car is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The staff handles catering requests, hotel arrangements, and local ground transportation.
Colgan operates as an Avfuel dealer within the Avnet Premiere FBO Network, accepting a wide range of contract fuel programs including Colt, Aircard, UV Air, World Fuel, and government contracts. The full-service line department is open Monday through Friday from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. and weekends from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m., with 24-hour after-hours assistance available by phone.
La Crosse Regional has a primary runway of 8,536 feet, comfortably handling all business jet categories. The airport sits north of Interstate 90, making it accessible from the highway system for ground connections to the broader region.
La Crosse itself is a river city of about 52,000 people, home to three colleges including the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. The bluffs along the Mississippi offer some of the most scenic terrain in the upper Midwest, and Grandad Bluff provides panoramic views of the river valley. The area is popular for outdoor recreation year-round, from river boating in summer to skiing at Mount La Crosse in winter.
Beyond FBO services, Colgan offers charter flights, aircraft management, flight training, and maintenance, making it a full-service aviation business.

Operations at La Crosse Regional Airport
Downtown La Crosse is 4 miles south of the airport, roughly 10 minutes by car. Rental cars are available at the terminal. Car service options are limited compared to a major metro, so coordinate a pickup in advance if you need a town car or SUV. Driving distances from the airport: Madison is 145 miles east (about 2 hours 20 minutes). Minneapolis-St. Paul is 165 miles northwest (about 2 hours 30 minutes). Milwaukee is 200 miles east (about 3 hours). For any of these trips, flying into KLSE only makes sense if La Crosse itself is the destination.
