About Signature Flight Support

Signature Flight Support at Lafayette Regional Airport serves as the gateway to Acadiana, the cultural and economic heart of Cajun Louisiana. The facility occupies a newer, purpose-built FBO building at 123 Grissom Drive, providing charter passengers with a clean, modern terminal that contrasts with the smaller regional airports common in this part of the state.

Lafayette is a major hub for the oil and gas industry, particularly offshore operations in the Gulf of Mexico, and the FBO sees steady corporate traffic from energy companies throughout the week. This industry focus means Signature LFT is well equipped to handle the quick turnarounds and flexible scheduling that business aviation demands.

The terminal includes a passenger lounge with complimentary refreshments and Wi-Fi, a pilot lounge, crew car availability, and hangar space for transient aircraft. The facility operates 24 hours a day with a team that knows the local area well and can arrange ground transportation, hotel bookings, and restaurant reservations. For departing passengers, catering from local restaurants can be coordinated through the front desk.

Lafayette Regional has a primary runway of 7,201 feet, more than sufficient for virtually any business jet. Prior permission is required for transport category aircraft, so operators should coordinate in advance. Handling fees are waived with a minimum fuel purchase, which keeps costs manageable for routine stops.

The city itself is about 135 miles west of New Orleans and offers some of the best Cajun and Creole cuisine in Louisiana. Festivals are frequent, with Festival International de Louisiane in April drawing visitors from around the world. For passengers arriving by charter, Signature LFT provides a smooth, no-hassle introduction to one of the South's most distinctive cultural regions.
