About Signature Flight Support
Signature Flight Support operates the primary FBO at Blue Grass Airport, positioned on the general aviation side of the field at 4308 Hangar Drive in Lexington, Kentucky. The airport recently completed a new general aviation terminal, giving charter passengers a modern facility with updated amenities and direct ramp access.
Lexington is the center of Kentucky's thoroughbred horse country, and private aviation traffic here reflects that identity. Keeneland Race Course sits directly across from the airport, making this one of the most convenient FBO locations in the country for horse racing and bloodstock industry visitors. During Keeneland's spring and fall meets, and especially around the Breeders' Cup when it rotates through Lexington, the ramp fills quickly with jets of every size.
The Signature terminal provides a passenger lounge, Wi-Fi, conference rooms, and standard Signature amenities including complimentary refreshments. Ground transportation options include rental cars on site and car service into downtown Lexington, which is about 15 minutes east. The FBO handles U.S. Customs processing for international arrivals, a useful feature for owners flying in from Canada or the Caribbean.
Blue Grass Airport has two runways, with the primary at 7,003 feet, and sits at an elevation of 979 feet. The field handles everything from light jets to large-cabin aircraft without issues. The airport is about 80 miles from Louisville and 85 miles from Cincinnati, placing it squarely in the middle of the Bluegrass region.
Beyond horse country, Lexington draws visitors to the University of Kentucky, the bourbon distillery trail along US 60 and US 68, and the surrounding countryside. Signature LEX provides a well-maintained gateway to all of it.
