About Trego/Dugan Aviation
Trego/Dugan Aviation is a family-owned operation that has been based at North Platte Regional Airport for over 50 years, growing from a small local FBO into a company with a national presence in jet management and charter. Despite that growth, the North Platte facility retains a personal, small-town character that charter passengers will notice immediately upon arrival.
The airport sits along the Interstate 80 corridor in central Nebraska, making it a natural fuel stop and crew rest point for cross-country flights. The 8,001-foot runway at 2,777 feet elevation handles all business jet categories comfortably, and the ramp has ample parking for transient aircraft.
Passenger amenities include a terminal lounge, restrooms, and basic refreshments. Ground transportation can be arranged through the FBO, and rental cars are available. The staff is experienced with corporate and charter operations and can coordinate catering, hotel reservations, and local logistics.
What sets Trego/Dugan apart from many small-market FBOs is the depth of their aviation services. They operate their own Part 135 charter fleet and offer jet management, turboprop maintenance, and avionics work. This means your aircraft has access to qualified maintenance support if anything comes up during a fuel stop or overnight stay.
North Platte itself is a railroading town of about 24,000 people, home to the Golden Spike Tower overlooking Union Pacific's Bailey Yard, the world's largest railroad classification yard. The surrounding Sandhills region draws hunters in season, and Lake McConaughy is a popular recreation destination to the west. For passengers passing through, North Platte offers a convenient and affordable stopover with fuel prices that are typically well below those at larger metro airports.
