About Signature Flight Support
Signature Flight Support is the sole FBO at Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport, the private aviation gateway to the University of Virginia, Monticello, and Virginia's scenic Piedmont wine country. Located at 100 Aviation Drive in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the facility provides full ground handling including fueling, valet vehicle-to-plane ramp access, and golf cart service to and from the terminal. Signature invested in a four-month renovation that added LED lighting, environmental upgrades, and refreshed interior spaces. The terminal includes conference rooms for business travelers, a passenger lounge, and fine dining arrangements through the concierge team. UVA drives a significant portion of the airport's charter traffic, from Cavaliers athletic team charters and recruit visits to parents' weekends and academic conferences. The university's medical center also generates medical transport traffic. Beyond the university, Charlottesville is a popular destination in its own right. The area's wineries, Shenandoah National Park, and the historic Downtown Mall with its restaurants and shops attract leisure visitors year-round. Ground transportation from the airport to UVA's campus takes about 15 minutes, and the FBO staff can arrange rental cars and car service. The airport has a 6,001-foot primary runway that handles most midsize business jets comfortably. For charter passengers visiting Charlottesville, whether for a football game, a winery tour, or a meeting at the university, Signature CHO provides professional, full-service ground support at a manageable, human-scaled airport.
