About Atlantic Aviation

Atlantic Aviation is the sole FBO at Aspen-Pitkin County Airport, the only commercial and private aviation gateway to one of America's most exclusive mountain resort communities. The log cabin-style terminal was designed to reflect the character of the surrounding Elk Mountains, and the facility handles some of the heaviest seasonal private jet traffic in the country during ski season and summer events like the Aspen Ideas Festival and Food & Wine Classic. Passengers arriving by charter will find comfortable lounges, conference rooms, crew rest areas, and concierge services that can arrange everything from ground transportation to restaurant reservations and ski lift tickets. The 8,006-foot runway sits at 7,820 feet elevation, making this a specialized mountain airport that requires experienced flight crews. Atlantic recently signed a 30-year lease with Pitkin County that includes a commitment to invest more than $100 million in capital projects. The planned redevelopment will deliver state-of-the-art facilities designed to achieve Net-Zero, LEED Zero, and Platinum Zero Waste certifications, making it one of the most environmentally ambitious FBO projects in the country. Ground handling covers fueling, de-icing, and hangar storage, all essential given the harsh winter conditions at altitude. For charter passengers, the appeal is straightforward: you land minutes from downtown Aspen with no connecting flights or long drives. The FBO staff is experienced with high-profile and VIP arrivals, and the facility is built around providing a seamless, discreet arrival experience in a world-class destination.

Downtown Aspen is 3 miles from the terminal, typically a 5 to 10 minute drive. Car services and hotel shuttles meet aircraft directly on the ramp or at the FBO. Most Aspen-area hotels coordinate transportation. Snowmass Village is about 12 miles west, roughly 20 minutes in normal conditions. Driving times extend significantly during ski season peak hours and after fresh snow. Ground transport in Aspen is generally arranged through your hotel or operator rather than on-demand apps.
