About Weston Aviation (Aether Terminal)
Weston Aviation operates from Aether, Manchester Airport's dedicated private terminal, which reopened in November 2024 after being closed since the pandemic. The terminal originally launched in 2019 under the PremiAir brand and has been relaunched with Weston Aviation providing FBO handling services. Aether operates entirely separately from Manchester's three commercial terminals, offering a private, discreet arrival and departure experience. The terminal features dedicated dining experiences created in collaboration with noted Manchester chef Adam Reid, setting it apart from typical FBO lounge catering. Passengers arriving by car are met at the terminal entrance and escorted through to the airside area, where chauffeur-driven BMW vehicles provide direct transfers to and from the aircraft on the ramp. Departing passengers can relax in the terminal's lounge spaces while the Weston team handles all formalities. The facility includes customs and immigration processing within the terminal, so international flights are cleared without any interaction with the commercial side of the airport. This is Weston Aviation's fifth location in the UK and Ireland, joining their network at Gloucestershire, Cornwall Newquay, Humberside, and Cork. For charter passengers, Aether represents one of the more premium private terminal experiences in the north of England. Manchester Airport's location at the M56 motorway junction provides fast road access to central Manchester (about 25 minutes), Cheshire, and the wider northwest. The combination of a purpose-built private terminal with Weston's handling expertise creates a polished experience that competes well with London-area FBOs.
